Sibusisiwe Shangase well known as Siibu was doing her first solo show or rather say One Women Show, for the very first time. All her circle was in a mood of support and a spirit of Ubuntu. She even got her canva poster from a 11 year old inheritor Kuyabonelelwa Zondi. Kuya drew a picture written “Good Luck Aunty Sibu on your Show”. This was followed by a full show with her peers, her parents, her Aunties as well as the Gurus in the Jazz Music sector, like Sir Atlas Duma. We also heard that Mr Mdu Ngcobo of Touch Africa Tours and the Founder of Durban Jazz Festival also wanted to grace this show with his presence,and that is how the seriousness of the show was.
It is so amazing on how is this Star Siibu is well received in the music sector, as she is not under any label. Doing promotion all by herself as well as a little push from parents. What also amazing is, to see young ones well known as ‘ama 2K’ ,vibe and jell to Siibu’s music, as it’s not just any music, but jazz music. Songs like “Ngiyeza” and “Iduku” were the deal. Speaking about deal, Siibu just got deals of getting booked in the biggest jazz music in November done by Sir Atlas Duma and Sagiya MCCD. Not only that, but Siibu managed to get a venue deal where she hosted her show from Hue Cafe in Morningside owned by Linda Majola who also plays Mzamo in SABC 1 soapi, UZalo. Siibu is also a daughter of a well known Human’s and Woman’s Rights Activist as well as a well recognized artist, INdlovukazi Mapule Ngobese. The show ended why fans still wanted more
