KwaZulu-Natal celebrated a night of excellence at the 2026 Special Economic Zones Awards, where two of its flagship SEZs were recognised among South Africa’s top performers. Hosted at the Durban International Convention Centre by the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC) in partnership with the provincial government, the ceremony honoured achievements in investment attraction, business facilitation, and economic impact across the country’s 12 SEZs. The Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone (RBIDZ) secured the prestigious Investment of the Year Award, while the Dube TradePort SEZ was named the national leader in Investment Facilitation. These accolades reaffirm KwaZulu-Natal’s position as a premier destination for investment, industrial growth, and economic opportunity.
